Origin & Habitat

No wild natural range; cultivated from named Anthurium parent species.

Description

Velvety rounded to heart-shaped leaves with bright silver venation; forgetii influence may reduce or close the sinus in some seedlings.

Compact to medium upright velvet Anthurium seedling line, usually grown in warm humid collections.

Botanical Notes

Hybrid/seedling-line name combines the parent species names.

Cultivated seedling cross. Carnivero describes its in-house cross as young seedlings, which supports treating this as a variable seedling line rather than a fixed cultivar.

Parentage

Hybrid cross: Anthurium crystallinum ×Anthurium forgetii

Care Guide

Grow warm with bright filtered light, high humidity, and a chunky airy mix kept evenly lightly moist. Because these are seedling lines, adjust care to the individual plant and root system rather than assuming every seedling behaves identically.

Repotting

Use a chunky, airy aroid mix with bark, perlite/pumice, coco chips or coarse fibre, and a moisture-retentive component. Repot gently when roots fill the pot; avoid oversized pots.

Feeding

Monthly at quarter to half strength during active growth. Flush occasionally if using mineral fertiliser.

Common Problems
  • Root rot in dense media or stagnant moisture; leaf edge burn from low humidity, salts, or inconsistent watering; thrips, spider mites, scale, or mealybug; cool conditions slowing or damaging growth.
Notes & Curiosities
  • A useful searchable cross for people who want the round forgetii look with more crystallinum sparkle.
Toxicity: toxic to pets, toxic to humans. Araceae plant with insoluble calcium oxalate crystals; chewing can irritate the mouth and digestive tract.
