Botanical Notes

A modern hybrid cultivar developed for the houseplant trade, likely derived from Philodendron species with orange or red new growth tendencies. The exact parentage is proprietary; it became popular in the 2010s as part of the broader Philodendron colour-form trend.

Care Guide

Thrives in bright, indirect light with warm temperatures and high humidity; the vibrant orange new growth fades to green as leaves mature. Water when top inch of soil is dry and allow good drainage to prevent root rot. Prune regularly to maintain compact, bushy form and encourage fresh orange foliage.

Repotting

Aroid mix: 50% potting soil, 30% orchid bark, 20% perlite or pumice. Repot every 12–18 months in spring when roots begin to circle the pot. Prefers slightly moist (not wet) substrate during growing season; allow to dry slightly between waterings in winter.
