Monstera acacoyaguensis 'Variegated'
Base species native to Mexico (Chiapas) to Belize; variegated form is cultivated
Variegated horticultural/collector form of Monstera acacoyaguensis. Base species is accepted; exact variegated clone/source is not independently verified.
Prefers bright indirect light to maintain variegation; variegated sections are more prone to reversion in low light. Water when top 2–3 cm of soil is dry; ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Provide a moss pole or support structure as it naturally climbs in its native habitat.
Aroid mix: 40% orchid bark, 40% coco coir, 20% perlite. Can remain slightly snug but avoid severe root-binding. Repot every 18–24 months in spring when roots emerge from drainage holes. Prefers a pot with excellent drainage.
