Anthurium leuconeurum

Thick heart-shaped leaves with pale/white venation, similar in general look to the clarinervium group.
Compact upright/subshrub Anthurium with firm foliage and a short stem.
leuco- means white; neurum refers to veins.
Accepted Anthurium species in POWO, but POWO notes the hybrid formula is perhaps A. berriozabalense × A. clarinervium. Kept as plant_category=species because POWO treats the name as accepted; the possible hybrid origin is noted rather than forcing DB category=hybrid.
Treat more like a seasonally dry Mexican Anthurium than a constantly wet cloud-forest velvet type. Bright filtered light and light drying are helpful.
Use a chunky mix and avoid oversized pots. Let the crown sit slightly proud of the medium.
Monthly at quarter to half strength during active growth. Flush occasionally if using mineral fertiliser.
- Root rot if kept too wet; leaf edge crisping from very dry air; taxonomy/category confusion because POWO notes possible hybrid origin.
- A category gremlin: accepted as a species by POWO, but with a possible hybrid formula noted. Very Anthurium of it XD.
